![]() ![]() Both should accept a fitting for a 4" flex duct. You can trim out the front by using an RV access door, like is used for power input or filling the water tank. Neck it down to a rectangular duct that will fit in the side of the case lid, or add a door to the front for AC access. Add a small, flexible duct to one of the main ducts and pipe it into the cabinet front. Since you're in Florida, it's pretty likely you have air conditioning. they'll want airspace between them, too, so that's probably a dealkiller. If the studio version has substantially different guts from a hardware standpoint, then don't do this. If you're running them hard, don't do this. You'll have to leave the case open, but there won't be fans drawing dust inside any more. If you're not running them hard, consider cleaning the insides well, and disconnecting the fan (or put it on an adjustable thermostat). In the manual it says the studio version is convection cooled, with just a slight derating of 4-ohm performance. Sealing things up gets trickier if you have to accommodate the handles on the sides. You could make just one big one if you can see the indictors you need to see through the filter material if you want. That way you can still see the metering and controls in the center. Fill with filter material, and place them over each vertical column of vents. Each frame would be about 2" wide, and long enough to go top to bottom of your amp stack. Past performance is a poor indicator of future performance.If that was my setup, I'd be tempted to make up two frames that will hold loose filter material, and attach flexible strip magnets (like on temporary window insulation) to hold it on and provide nominal sealing.
